Whole Foods shopper Evelyn Morris in Denver, Colorado has reported her Amazon Prime membership providing her an entire 37 cents off her overall purchase.
Witnesses claim that Morris looked overjoyed when she saw that her Prime membership, for which she pays $13 per month, gave her the gratuitous discount of 37% of a single dollar.
“I don’t watch much TV or order many packages, so I wasn’t sure if it was worth it for me to sign up for Amazon Prime,” said Morris. “Boy, was I wrong.”
Preliminary analytics show that Morris’s discount was worth almost 50% of the eggplant that she purchased.
“I’ve always been hesitant to shop at Whole Foods because it’s a little pricier, but with my Prime membership, I can really go wild,” continued Morris, hopeful that next time, she might even get a whole dollar off. “Maybe I can finally make the switch from regular fruit to organic.”
The incident comes only two months after another Whole Foods shopper in the same area was reported to have purchased two KIND bars for the price of one.
