Recipe: Zero-Calorie Smoothie

Though delicious, smoothies are often packed with calories and sugar. Even smoothies made with natural ingredients can be total calorie bombs, leaving you with the same sense of guilt that comes from finishing an entire pizza. Still craving an ice-cold blended beverage? Well we’ve got a smoothie recipe for you that’ll take away all that guilt and leave you feeling full and refreshed.

Here’s the kicker: it’s only 0 calories. It sounds too good to be true, but this smoothie checks all the boxes. It’s low-calorie, low-fat, low-sugar, low-sodium, and low-carb. There’s only one thing it’s high in — satisfaction!

While there are other variations of the smoothie, we’ve found that this recipe works best. Make sure you stick to the following proportions, otherwise the flavor profile might be off!

0-Calorie Smoothie

-8 oz tap water

-6 cubes of ice

Put cubes of ice into blender. Cover with tap water. Blend on medium for 30 seconds. Drink while cool.

These smoothies are so good, you’ll find yourself wanting more and more. But not too fast! You can double the recipe if you really want, but then you need to promise not to eat lunch.

One of the reasons this smoothie recipe is so perfect is because its extremely cold temperature freezes your stomach and leaves you satiated for the rest of the day. That means you can save money from not buying extra food while also saving yourself from gaining weight.
